Sierra del Rincon (Spain)
One hundred kilometers from the capital of Spain, the Sierra del Rincón is a mountainous territory between the Ayllón and Somosierra massifs where Mediterranean and Atlantic elements intermingle.
Its orography, climate and scarce arable land did not allow the settlement of large populations, explaining a landscape dominated by forestry and livestock. Although this isolation was mitigated in the 60s of the last century, the respectful coexistence between humans and nature has preserved a cultural and natural diversity that allows us to enjoy a unique environment.
