Member of Mountain Biosphere
Mediterranean Intercontinental (Spain/Morocco)
This reserve runs like an arch open to the Mediterranean, acting as a double crossroads between Europe/Africa and the Mediterranean/Atlantic. A permanent and privileged corridor of natural and human flows that connects continents, seas, humid air masses and a multitude of cultures.
Currently, the RBIM functions, environmentally, as an island of humidity in an environment prone to aridity; and, socially, as a border scenario where we can work for human development from natural heritage.
