Experiences of the World Network of Mountain Biosphere Reserves
Densho-Adapt Project
This project unfolds through inter- and transdisciplinary approaches involving representatives from the network of rice farmers and local municipality of Tadami UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Local knowledge on land-use and disaster risk reduction can be embedded into advising adaptation processes through facilitated participatory methods, this project aims at understanding how to facilitate this process. The project has been developed with participatory methods including participant observation, in-depth interviews and a participatory workshop.
