Agua y Paz (Costa Rica)
In the Agua y Paz Biosphere Reserve, we recognize the territory’s potential for sustainable development, and we work to achieve this by integrating the area’s environmental, economic, social, and educational aspects, which are tailored to regional realities and adhere to sustainable development criteria. The biosphere reserve is characterized by its mountain ranges, wetlands, plains, volcanoes, lakes, and rivers, as well as its biodiversity, culture, and traditions, particularly those of the Maleku indigenous people. It is a tourist, gastronomic, agroindustrial, productive, and service-oriented district.
