Local Solidarity Markets of Chirripo

The Local Solidarity Markets is an initiative coordinated by women working in the buffer zone of the Chirripó National Park, the highest mountain in Costa Rica. They are markets that work locally, favouring local economies, with short marketing chains, favouring agro ecological production, sustainable and responsible consumption practices, with actions aimed at sustainable development such as Trueke, garage sales, short marketing chains, empowerment of women, added value and small businesses, with the objective of solidarity between businesses and local producers and consumers.
